While Floridians prepare for another election cycle, the Broward Young Democrats continue the effort to cultivate passionate young activist and progressive candidates.  With an array of issues and initiatives ranging from taxes to gay rights hanging in the balance, the need for fresh ideas and bold enthusiasm has never been greater!  Our member, past and present, have answered the call to support the candidates that inspire us and the issues that move us countless times before.  Now were asking you to join the fight!

We meet on the second Monday of each month at the Cowboy Saloon (formerly Gatsby’s) located at 1805 S. University Dr.  FL, 33324.  Our meetings begin at 7:30p, and are preceded by happy hour at 6:30pm.  We are routinely joined by state and local officials, union leaders, journalist and activists who share the experiences and knowledge of some of the most critical issues facing our communities.

Per our plan of action (BYD Field Plan) Our purpose is (1) To deploy active members of the Broward Young Democrats (BYD) in support of efforts to elect Democratic candidates to local, state and federal offices.  (2) To train activists in proven grassroots organization/campaigning methods and tactics.  (3) To educate young activists and the local voting populace on the ballot initiatives and local issues.
