The Broward Young Democrats is the official local chapter in Broward County of the Florida Young Democrats (FYD) and the Young Democrats of America (YDA). Our members are high school & college students, young professionals, state & local leaders, and veteran activists. We exist to engage, organize and mobilize young people in the Democratic party. We are not just the next generation of Democratic leaders; we ARE today's generation.We work to register young voters, elect leaders that represent progressive values, and advocate for important issues, including environmental preservation, LGBTQ+ rights, and reproductive rights, to name a few.Many elected officials and party leaders get their start with the BYDs.
